The university homepage revealed President Obama would give a speech in the university on Wednesday. Before the day of his visit, tickets would be distributed based on the first come first get. I thought it couldn't be hard to get a ticket. White I arrived the university at 7:00 I saw there were hundreds of students waiting in the courtyard.
Students lined up to get free tickets.
It took me two hours to get the student ticket.
The day came. I thought it couldn't be hard to get a good seat. Who could come earlier as the speech started in the noon? I was wrong again. Hundreds of people were waiting in front of the coliseum at 8:30am.
I want to photo how many people there were, not the cute girl.
security check
Passing the security check, entering the coliseum and waiting two hours for the president. The university had prepared entertainment for the crowd inside. The musical group played exciting tunes that were always played in football or basketball games.
"Wolf, Wolf, ..." many students started to chant our slogans.I felt this would be like a show, not a serious speech.

At about 12:00 pm, the chancellor welcomed all guests. The president showed up at 1:00 pm. Then people were crazy as if they saw Michael Jackson alive. His talk were interrupted often by people's applause. The topic is about jobs in the US, but I believed most people came here to see him, not for the speech. The speech was short.
This guy gave an introduction.

Greeting people behind him.
I decide to buy a new camera
Shaking hands with people
Final thought: To be a speech, its social cost is large; to be a show, it is invaluable. Why so serious? This is the United States.
