Dreaming a Reality

The stay in Raleigh was memorable. In the morning I woke up, then prepared a simple breakfast, and drove to school. The routes were familiar. No miss in anywhere I should make a turn, stop, and change the lane. The work a day started in the study room, the library or the office. Occasionally, the time was flying away when I had a chat with friends. Sometimes we exchange ideas, sometimes just for fun. In a month I live like a student.

Talley Student Union, was called Talley Student Center

Study room for graduate students. It gives some privacy but is noisy during the semester.

Sometimes I went to the office to see Steve. This place was once the base for depressed students. In summer 2012, I left here with anger. Now these all became a piece of memory.

The streets around campus remain unchanged too. A few restaurants were shut down, and those famous ones were still crowded in lunch time. In the evening, I went home cooking my own dinner. As I had time and felt bored, I made cakes and snacks. So there was no boring moment during my stay.

New York Style Cheesecake. From the brown crust, you can see it is over-baked.

Rum Balls

Chocolate Cheesecake. I used the wrong chocolate to make its toppings so it didn't look good. To remedy it, I covered it with homemade strawberry jelly. It still looked not so good.

I like to visit supermarkets where the colors of fresh veggie and fruits are vibrant.

I don’t know when I will have a good time like this. Until then, the only wish is that I can have good dreams.

Saturday Morning

I had stayed in this community for four weeks. It was quiet day and night.

Maybe I can build an ideal town using Lego bricks.
